The 7Artisans 60mm f/2.8 2x Macro is a new full-frame macro lens that delivers extreme close-up capability. It offers a maximum magnification ratio of 2:1, which is quite extreme compared to typical 1:1 macro lenses, with a minimum focusing distance of just 0.17 meters. The lens features solid build quality and nice handling thanks to its generous 2.0x macro magnification. However, the lens lacks autofocus or any electronics, and the minimum working distance can be too close for comfort. Sharpness is pretty good across most of the frame but distortion is on the high side for a macro lens and the working distance for 2.0x macro is very tight.
