Worth Knowing
Softness and reduced contrast when shooting wide open at f/1.2 requires stopping down to f/1.8+
Noticeable chromatic aberration and fringing at f/1.2, particularly with bright light sources
No weather sealing or internal gaskets limits durability in harsh conditions
Limited minimum focus distance (60cm) and very low magnification (~0.1x) reduces macro capabilities

Read our notes on general
The Sniper 56mm f/1.2 is an ultrafast prime with shallow depth of field and high-quality bokeh. Build quality is very good and superb for the price. However, at f/1.2 the Sniper displays a little more softness, a tad less contrast, and some mild fringing and chromatic aberration. For an f/1.2 autofocus lens at this price point the Sniper offers amazing value for money.
