What We Like
+Exceptional value at $159 price point with premium all-metal construction
+Bright f/2 aperture rare for ultra-wide primes, excels in low-light and astrophotography
+Minimal distortion control with clean center sharpness and well-controlled vignetting
+Compact and portable at 333-345g with smooth manual focus ring and quality build
Worth Knowing
Corner and edge softness at wide apertures (f/2-f/4), requiring stopping down to f/8-f/11 for full sharpness
Lateral chromatic aberration present, especially in corners, though fixable in post-processing
Cramped aperture ring positioned above mount makes adjustments awkward for some users
Focus breathing issues and some coma distortion limit suitability for astrophotography at wide aperture

Read our notes on general
The TTArtisan 10mm f/2 is a fully manual ultra-wide angle lens, without any electrical contacts, that is available for almost all the APS-C camera brands. At $159, this all-metal manual lens delivers amazing image quality considering the price and aggressive feature set. While mid-frame and corner sharpness at wider apertures is weak, the lens is very sharp in the center right from f/2 and sharp everywhere at f/8 or smaller apertures, which suits most landscape applications. Minimal distortion and acceptably low vignetting make it well-suited for ultra-wide landscape and architectural work.
