+Exceptional bokeh quality with 12 aperture blades creating smooth, creamy background separation
+Excellent build quality and premium all-metal construction with vintage aesthetic appeal
+Strong optical performance with high color accuracy and minimal chromatic aberration
+Compact and lightweight (350g) for its f/1.5 aperture and medium telephoto focal length

Worth Knowing
Some ghosting and optical artifacts when shooting wide open at f/1.5, especially at close distances
Noticeable vignetting at maximum aperture (f/1.5) that diminishes by f/2 and disappears by f/4
Manual focus only—challenging accurate focus at f/1.5 on rangefinder cameras with standard magnification
Occasional lens flare and slight focus breathing when refocusing between near and far subjects

Read our notes on general
A portrait-length prime with vintage style, the Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical is a fast, compact M-mount lens characterized by its classic rendering. The optical design includes three anomalous partial dispersion elements and one aspherical element, which help to deliver high color accuracy and sharpness by suppressing a variety of aberrations. The Voigtlander 75mm f1.5 is one of the more popular Voigtlander lenses of recent times, and for good reasons—it's one of a kind, and it's actually a really good lens. It might just be one of those "shut up and buy it" lenses for M portrait shooters. Even from Leica there just isn't much out there that really gives you the versatility this lens offers.
