What We Like
+Ultra-fast f/0.95 aperture excels in low light with shallow depth of field and beautiful bokeh
+High optical quality with excellent center sharpness and creamy, smooth bokeh transitions
+Durable all-metal construction with precise manual focus control and smooth damping
+Versatile 25mm focal length (37.5mm equivalent on APS-C) suitable for portraits, landscapes, and street photography
+Excellent for video with minimal focus breathing and clickless aperture for smooth transitions
+Available in multiple mounts: Sony E, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Canon EOS-M, Micro Four Thirds, and Leica L
Worth Knowing
Limited sharpness and low contrast at maximum f/0.95 aperture; improves significantly at f/2.8-f/5.6
Heavy at 582g and bulky (99.7mm length) makes it front-heavy on smaller mirrorless bodies
Manual focus only with short focus throw may be challenging for fast-moving subjects or walk-around photography
No weather sealing limits usability in harsh conditions; heavy vignetting and flare at wide apertures in bright light

General

About This Lens
The 7Artisans 25mm f/0.95 is an ultra fast wide angle prime lens for mirrorless APS-C cameras. 11 lenses in 9 groups are asking for space but this lens from 7Artisans is a high end well corrected wide open 25mm f0.95 lens. The lens is super heavy chunk of glass and metal and the images aren't even close to sharp wide open at minimum distances, but get respectably sharp a few feet away. The lens gets razor sharp by f5.6 and has no distortion. Reviewers praise its distinctive medium-format-like character and superior bokeh for creative work, though the manual focus design limits everyday walk-around practicality.
